Reliance Jio has been making headlines after receiving TRAI’s order to withdraw the ‘Jio Summer Surprise’ offer, which came with three months of free services till 31st June for Prime members. The company today completed the roll back of the previously announced offer. Soon after the withdrawal, the company revealed that it will be launching new tariff packs. Keeping the promise, Jio has today revealed the ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan' offer on its website. The name sounds similar to Jio's recent TV commercial jingle, spotted mostly during IPL commercials.
Under this offer, Reliance Jio has tried to bring the benefits of Summer Surprise offer to the customers who may have missed out earlier. The new offer gives unlimited 1GB data per day plans starting at Rs 309 with three month validity. Jio has also listed unlimited plans for those who are looking for 2GB data per day starting at Rs 509. Moreover, there are different plans for existing Prime members, non-Jio members and new Jio members.
To get a clear idea of the plans, lets take a look at the complete list of plans.
Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan 1GB per day plans
The 1GB plan starts at Rs 309 offering 1GB 4G data per day with a validity of 84 days. Like the previous offers, the speed will come down to 128 Kbps after the high-speed data is consumed. Rest of the services are similar—including unlimited HD calls, SMS and MyJio services.
If you have already subscribed to Jio Prime, then you need to pay Rs 309. Existing Jio users who have not subscribed to Prime membership will be charged Rs 349. New customers will have to subscribe pay Rs 408, which will get them Prime membership along with the data and other services.
Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan 2GB per day plans
The 2GB plans are similar to the 1GB plans, except for the cost and 1GB of extra data. The 2GB plan starts at Rs 509 and it will also be valid for 84 days. Existing Prime members can get this offer for Rs 509, non-Prime members can avail it for Rs 549 and new customers will have to pay Rs 608.
Existing Jio customers who have Jio Prime subscription will have an added benefit over non-Jio Prime subscribers. The Jio.com website and MyJio app show that the actual tariffs for Rs 309 and Rs 509 plans are Rs 349 and Rs 549 respectively, but Jio is given a Rs 40 discount during this offer.
Considering the benefits available to Jio Prime members, non-Prime members can continue to do so by paying Rs 408 or Rs 608 (Jio Prime + recharge amount) to avail these benefits. All the plans will be available from today onwards and those who have still not done their first recharge need to do it by April 15 to avoid discontinuation of services.
