At this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC), Lenovo-owned Motorola launched a new iteration of widely-popular Moto G series called Moto G5 series that include Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5. While Moto G5 Plus hit the Indian shores in March 2017, Motorola is unveiled Moto G5 this afternoon.
Moto G5 sports a 5-inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a pixel density of 441ppi. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on the top. Under to hood, it runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset with Cortex A-53 cores clocked at 1.4Ghz, paired with Adreno 505 GPU.
In the storage segment, it comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with an option to expand the storage via microSD card upto 256GB.
On the camera front, Moto G5 houses a 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture that is assisted by a LED flash and PDAF. The camera on the front is a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and display flash. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
A non-removable 2800mAh battery with support for rapid charging fuels Moto G5. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4GLTE microUSB V 2.0, etc. The fingerprint sensor is located on the bottom bezel that supports swiping gestures, which can be used to replicate the functions of on-screen buttons. Other sensors onboard include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
